Indiana Prisons COVID Tracker

The coronavirus pandemic has greatly jeopardized U.S. prisoners. Testing in many correctional facilities has been insufficient to detect the true prevalence of COVID-19 among prison residents and prison staff. As a result, U.S. prisoners have contracted and died from COVID-19 at disproportionate rates.

I am working with several prisoner rights activists to tract COVID-19 testing, test positivity, and COVID-related deaths among prisoners and employees of the thirteen major prisons operated by the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC). If you are an Indiana resident, please sign our letter to the governor calling for more early releases of IDOC prisoners. This is the best way to ensure the health and safety of inmates in Indiana and the communities in which the state's prisons are located.
